There are some things in life that I would love to believe in but that darn British cynicism keeps getting in the way - one is the Loch Ness Monster, another is aliens and the third is mermaids - wouldn't it be nice to think of those silvery creatures inhabiting a nemo-like world...well, maybe I should head to Israel - the country is anticipating a deluge of visitors after sightings of a real life mermaid in the town of Kirvat Yam, near Haifa...
As tourism authorities come up with ever more creative ways to lure in those visitors and their all important cash, the town of Kirvat Yam in Israel has gone one better.
This is no clever marketing ploy either, they say, but rather a happy
coincidence. The town's local authority has been inundated with reported
sightings of a mermaid, something which, if proved to really exist, would send
tourist numbers to the town through the roof.
"Global Property Guide" says that prices will continue falling in the coming months.
